Our Assoc. had held a big event "Clean Up the World 2008" on 20 September 2008 at the Lane Cove National Park. The area is cover 5.5km cross the river side of Lane Cove National Park. Sixty-three volunteers joined and 12 teams(10 teams are cleaning up at 10 places, the other 2 teams are cooking and reception desk) are working hard due to hot temperature(32c) on the day.We collected over 60 bags of the waste. In particularly on the event, Ten parents with their children were showing us as a good chance/case to teach them how the "Clean Up the World" is good value work for the Conservation of the Environment. With more meaningful, we had two short speech that Jillian Hutchinson/Coordinator of CUW Sydney Office spoke about "Clean Up the World Mission" and Nicol Simon/Field Officer of Lane Cove National Park spoke for "What's on Lane Cove National Park".
We,FITA have a Mission to clean Up Parramatta River monthly base(every 3rd. weekend) since 2000.
